Our objective is to provide the latest and most comprehensive information on programs and community efforts across the United States directed at increasing physical activity and improving nutrition in our nation’s youth. In addition, this site offers a single location for the latest news, meetings and events, funding opportunities, publications, SAY Town Meetings and other resources related to childhood obesity.
The Obesity Society Releases New Research on the Cost Burden of Obesity. Obesity, A Research Journal has released a new study on the lifetime medical cost burden of overweight and obesity, and the implications for obesity prevention.

National Registry of Programs. Shaping America’s Youth encourages community programs across the country focused on childhood physical activity or nutrition to become part of the SAY national registry of programs (The SAY Network). To date, more than 1500 organizations, corporations, and communities, representing every sector of the US, have provided information about their efforts to reverse the health crisis of overweight and inactivity in young people.
SAY Survey, 2nd Edition. Shaping America’s Youth announced that it is beginning its second survey of programs addressing overweight, poor nutrition, and physical inactivity among today’s youth.
